The Victoria Falls

Best bark about Zambia: Swimming in the Zambezi without a crocodile coming to fetch me!

Worst Woof about Zambia: The micro lite flight was way too short for those glorious views!

Keeping cool in Livingston doesn’t get any better than cooling off under the spray of the majestic Victoria falls, unless you feel like taking a dip in the great Zambezi river while the crocs aren’t watching. Heck, I managed to survive that, how scary could a glimpse of both be from the confines of a microlite? I handled it like Lion King - Sir David Livingston eat your heart out! My pilots were quite amused when Zambia National News came to meet me upon arrival into Livingston - By the time I departed, everyone in Livingston was calling me by my very own name!
I stuck my paws into Zimbabwe while Robert Mugabe wasn’t watching – that’s’ 2 countries in a split second and possibly another world woof record! After that refreshment, spent the rest of the morning visiting Nakatindi Community School on the Livingston outskirts and with the help of the Happy Africa Foundation (Thanks Lucy – www.happyafricafoundation.org) I traded wire ‘collars’ for ROGZ gear. Ouch to Yip Yap just like that! We later departed for Ndola 2 hours later than schedule but it didn’t stop over 150 children from the Simba School bubbling over just to greet me as I pulled into the Ndola SPCA. Wow! I couldn’t believe it. I had children asking for my paw-graph, taking my pic, and I received over 100 drawings from all the kids telling me how special and welcome I was! Van Gogh eat your pallet out! You kids rock… you moved me to tears so I’ll forgive you all for chasing me all over Ndola for 2 hours!

Welcome two great people for animal welfare in Ndola:  Dr Andrew of the Ndola SPCA and volunteer extraordinary Debbie Vrdoljak – the following morning I headed into Chipulukusa Town with for a free rabies clinic. I felt like the pied piper as another hundred township kids followed me through a cloud of dust on a typical African soccer field. Best part was throwing away all those destructive wire ‘collars’ and replacing them with the real ROGZ deal. These people are kind - with more education about pet care and the help of Dr Andrew and Debbie, Ndola will be a bark of light on the Dark Continent when the case for animal welfare is discussed.
A special thanks to STUTTAFORDS ZAMBIA Amos Chomba & team for assisting me with all my travel stuff!

PAWS ON THIS: Internet in Africa is slower that a tick immigrating across my bod! The video footage is panting to be get up but it may take another week!
